A General Meeting and Unit Discussion Topic

Unit discussion meetings will follow our general meeting, which took place on Tuesday, October 16. Ryan Beck of Envision Utah presented on Utah’s Agricultural Future, discussing the factors needed to maintain or increase the sustainability of food production in Utah.

A sustainable food system is one that promotes locally grown food. But in our state, As the population grows and if current production levels remain the same, the percent of our diet that is produced in the state can only decrease dramatically.

Join Us to Register New Voters

Rooted in the movement that secured the right to vote for women, the League has worked to foster civic engagement and enhance access to the vote since our organization was founded in 1920. The Salt Lake League is offering three ways to register new voters — at naturalization ceremonies, in high school government classes, and at special events. For more information or to volunteer, contact Luana Chilelli,, or the office.
